"Ascension" is a beautiful and uplifting piece painted in a calming palette. The work was created in an instinctive fashion, allowing the paint to form it's own rhythm. The effect is similar to the organic cloud formations that appear in the sky on a moody day, specked with dashes of light. The flowers floating on its surface take it to an abstract level  ascending this reality into the realm of the imagination through which the viewer can come to their own interpretation. "Ascension" would work well as a centrepiece in any room or alongside "Balloon" in the same series.
